Got questions?
A project represents one workspace within your pagestrip account. Within each project, there is no limitation of the amount of stories you can publish or the amount of users you can collaborate with, but there are some global settings that are shared across the entire project: As an example, this includes the project title, the canonical URL, the (multiple) languages you publish in, and other similar settings.
Therefore it's necessary (and part of our license agreement) to use separate projects for separate publications. Think of a project like a "magazine" for a publisher (e.g., if you're Condé Nast, we'd consider "Vogue" and "The New Yorker" to be separate projects), or a department in a business (e.g. a customer magazine and a business report are considered separate projects).
If you require multiple projects to manage your publications, we're happy to discuss volume licensing options with you.
When you cancel your license, all your existing content will remain online and can continue to be embedded or be served under its custom domain indefinitely.
However, you are no longer able to publish new stories or edit existing stories – Think of it as a static snapshot of your project at expiration of your license.
You can always come back and resume your project at a later time, since we do not delete your publication unless you explicitly do so yourself or instruct us to do so for you.
You can always cancel your license by providing us with a short written statement via email or via our contact form.
Your license will then no longer renew automatically, but will expire at the end of its term.
If you do not cancel your license up until three months before its renewal date, it will renew automatically.
Yes, you can resume your cancelled license at any time! Provided that you didn't delete your data (or instructed us to do so), your project will be exactly as you have left it.
To pick up your license again, please contact us.
Be aware that if you resume a license within the first six months after cancellation, your license start date will be moved back, so that your license coverage remains contiguous. We hope you understand that we need to do this in order to prevent "tactical cancellations" in order to increase the runtime of a license. We value fair and respectful relationships.
Currently, we only offer yearly licenses: Your license will begin on the first day of the month after which you purchase it and runs for exactly one year.
You can cancel your license up until three months before your renewal date. If you do not do so, your license will automatically renew for another year.
You will receive an invoice via email from us, which you pay via bank transfer.
Your invoice will be written in Euros (€). When you pay, you will have to bear fees for any currency conversions necessary.
Yes! Your license includes one free onboarding workshop via video call, or – if your location permits it – in-person. The workshop will be conducted by one of our senior designers.
You can also count on us for troubleshooting via email at any time – We usually respond in (considerably) less than 24 hours.
Additionally, there are built-in helpbooks and video tutorials in our editors to get you started. You'll often be faster to solve questions about how to use our products by referring to these materials and resort to emails only if you can't find a satisfactory answer there.
Especially when you are rolling out pagestrip for the first time, we can also provide direct assistance via video calls or participate in your internal meetings regarding technical or workflow requirements.
Yes, irregardless of whether you use pagestrip as stand-alone via a custom domain or by embedding on an existing website, it's the recommended practice to mention pagestrip in your privacy policy.
It's best to describe pagestrip as a service being used to display your particular publishing project (such as "We are using pagestrip.com as a publishing service for our customer magazine on our website.").
For our full company address, please refer to our imprint page. Also, be sure to include a link to our privacy policy, which will always be up to date automatically.
Ideally, your privacy policy also describes all cookies and/or localStorage objects that may be set. While pagestrip nevers sets any tracking cookies or codes, some data elements are strictly technically required under specific circumstances. You can find a definition of these data elements in the section about cookies & localStorage in our privacy policy. You can copy these descriptions into your own privacy policy, but it is best-practice to link to this section instead, which will always be up-to-date.
Once your privacy policy includes the purpose for which you are using pagestrip, our address, the link to our privacy policy, as well as the link to the declaration of locally stored data elements, you are done and in compliance with privacy laws.
Yes, please find a suitable text proposal below – Simply fill in the purpose of what you're using pagestrip for, and you're good to go. However, feel free to adapt the snippet to your particular likings, but be sure to include our address and all the links in order to be compliant with the GDPR:
We use pagestrip in order to [[Write what you use pagestrip for here, like "display our customer magazine"]]. pagestrip's imprint is available at https://www.pagestrip.com/imprint/. It is operated by

pagestrip guarantees us and you full compliance with the GDPR. Information about technically necessary data that pagestrip may store in your browser is available at https://www.pagestrip.com/data-privacy/#content, and their complete privacy policy is available at https://www.pagestrip.com/data-privacy/.
Most generally, you do not need to sign a DPA with us. This is because of the great care we take in collecting as little personal data as possible from your readers.
We only record server logs, which we retain for a rolling period of 10 days in order to diagnose and mitigate issues with our infrastructure (GPDR 6 lit f), as well as some data points regarding you, e.g. our contractual party, such as the data we need to invoice you and to be able to authenticate you (GDPR 6 lit b). Since we process these data points for our own purposes, this does not constitute a processing agreement in terms of the GDPR.
However, if your specific publication contains personal information of subjects as defined by the GDPR, you may want to sign a DPA with us due to the nature of your publication: As we need to store the stories you create, we are "processing" the personal data contained within. This might, for example, affect an employee magazine, where you write about your employees.
In this case, we are happy to sign a DPA with you that you either provide to us, or that we prepare for you: In both cases, be sure to detail the kind of personal data contained in your publications: Since you control the contents your publications, not us, we are not aware of the kinds of data you are intending to store with us. The easiest approach is to create a bulleted list of broad categories, such as "personal data of employees", and similar.
Send us your DPA and/or description of collected data, and we'll make sure that you receive a signed DPA quickly.
If finalizing your DPA requires additional meetings with, e.g., your data protection officer, we might charge a small fee for it.
Yes! We allow an unlimited number of users within your project, and we do not distinguish between users that are employed by the license holder or its external partners.
In fact, if you're a business working with an agency, we would even recommend that you are the license holder, so that you remain in control of your project even if you switch agencies.
Yes! You can seamlessly transfer a license between, say, your agency and yourself, or between different business units in your corporation.
If you need to do so, please contact us directly. We'll verify that both parties involved are in agreement about the transfer, and then we'll update your account and billing details.
Yes, we offer agency services around pagestrip, ranging from design concepts and kick-offs all the way to long-term digital production services.
However, all our services are focused around pagestrip, so we do not offer custom software development of in-house tools as a service.
You can learn more about our services on our agency page or by getting in touch with us directly. We're looking forward to meeting you!
